For Influencers: Large Men Edition, a blog series where I interview and promote the big boy and bear community, I had the pleasure of interviewing Kiing Most.

I grew up listening to all genres of music like R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Hip Hop. I love them all but Hip Hop caught my ear the most. I was also in the poetry club in middle school. On lunch breaks we used to sit around and do Eve’s Love is Blind beat and go around the tables free-styling anything jokingly. It was so lit. I always wished I could sing lol I try. But being able to relate to the shit talk, street talk, the nitty gritty, the hoodness in music and rap battles, I knew I would have to be apart of Hip Hop some how. I know I have a story to tell.

Growing up my musical inspirations were The Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston just to name a few.

I would classify my music to new listeners or new fans as a mixture of old school and new school hip hop flavor. I give a little or a lot of everything depending on how I’m feeling. You get punchlines, bars, metaphors, and flow. You get rhythm, beat riding, and maybe even a joke or two. I have hard street music, then I have feel good two step or club banger music. Good bad and ugly vibes all in one.

Some hardships in creating music are 1st off music is literally changing everyday. The sound the feel etc. You have to stay on top of your game, it’s like you can take a break but not to long. I try to write everyday with or without a beat. The game is overpopulated with artist worldwide signed and unsigned thanks to the social media era. You have to deliver work hard and work harder. It ain’t cheap you have to work to pay bills and support your career, but then you have some who quit jobs focus on their career and blow up. Then it’s like how I need money to eat and pay bills. It comes down to sacrifice. How bad do you really want this. It’s not about talent anymore sad to say. It’s about what can bring in a profit.

Some bonuses in creating music and my favorite bonus is releasing. Releasing stress, releasing what ever it is on your chest, shoulders, or mind. Music helps me vent. I can listen to my favorite artist if I’m in a bad or sad mood and feel a lot better. I can listen to my own music as well and feel better or I can create and feel better. Most of all someone out there somewhere can relate to my music and it may help them some day. Creating is fun it challenges the mind. There’s certain music or artist I listen to before a big job interview or to hype me up on the way to work.

As a bisexual man in rap I have to go through being labeled. I would like to be just that "A Man In Rap" not A gay or straight man in rap. I rap just as good or even better then a lot of these big names. My sexuality shouldn’t matter. Young M. A. is a female M.C not the gay female rapper or gay female in rap. I often see the lgbt artist hashtag from artist I know but I don’t use the hashtag because I’m a man period I’m a artist period. I’m a King period.

Some of my passions other then music are, computers and technology. Growing up I always said I’d be a computer engineer some day. I graduated high school with no plan and ending up majoring in Business Administration I love creating though, I do my own flyers and single cover arts for my music. I’m trying to learn how to make cartoon pics as well.

If you have the talent to pursue music, make sure this is really what you want to do. Do your research and know the history before you jump into anything. Practice and perfect your craft, test it out with some people you are close with to make sure you’re on point and not about to make a fool of yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for advice or reach out to other local artist or global artist. Take your time with everything don’t rush your craft. Kill it.

Yes, I’m finishing up my debut album titled Mostorious. It gives you Notorious B.I.G vibes but it’s also giving you more and more of me and my growth in life and my craft of rap. I moved my album release date a few times due to different reasons, one being my phone with all my lyrics and music was stolen. I’m a G though lol I wrote a whole new album and it’s almost fully ready for release. Oh I can’t forget my Mostorious Merch is coming as well after the album drops.

I have music available on every music platform. ITunes, Apple Music, Spotify etc. Just type in Kiing Most (two I’s in Kiing) I should pop right up. A few of my features with other artist
